Family pictures...

We took the boys to have their picture made today... Nolan's 2 year pictures, Carson's 1st real picture and also a family pic. What a stressful thing to do. Nolan is so great in front of the camera but to get Nolan and Carson to smile at the same time... good luck! They turned out very well, considering... I apologzie for the overload but I can't post just one!

Road trip

Mike and I traveled to West Virginia to visit family for the Memorial day weekend. We had a great trip. I was a bit hesitant to go at first due to the fact traveling with 2 kids seems chaotic but the boys were great! Carson slept the whole way waking up only once to eat. Nolan was good also... he loved looking out the window and asked "what's that?" the whole way inquiring about everything he saw! We saw lots of family and were able to introduce our newest additon.

The family had a cookout on Sunday. Uncle Joe and Aunt Pam have an amazing pool so everyone went swimming. This was Nolan's first time in the pool this summer. I was curious to see how he would do... needless to say, he is fearless and loves the water. He could not keep his face out of the water. He would jump in the pool, go all the way underwater and then come up with a huge smile on his face and say "jump again".

Getting ready to jump

Fearless...

Carson also got in the pool. He LOVED it. He had a smile on his face almost the whole time... until dada dunked him and then he cried for 20 minutes... mean dad!

The four of us...

We had a wonderful time in West Virginia. We look forward to many more vacations this summer.

Sweet smiles

Carson has been smiling for a couple weeks now but I have been unable to catch it on camera. Lately he has been in a very good mood right after he eats (what a man) and I was able to snap a couple shots!

Check out those cheeks...

Boys will be boys...

Just a few pics from the park today. I took Nolan to meet up with some friends and their kids at the park. It was a great time. We had a pinic and the kids were able to get out and run! I guess I am going to have to realize boys are DIRTY! Nolan and my nephew got into the woodchips and had a grand time! They were throwing them, putting them in each others hair and even eating them (Nolan). My nephew and Nolan had a blast while Jen and I just sat and cringed to think of the mess. They had fun and that is all that matters. Needless to say we threw them in the bath immediately.

Attempting to get all the boys... yeah right!

My newest nephew (I think his cheeks are catching up to Carson's)

My friend Melissa's little girl... boy is she going to have her hands full putting up with all these boys!

And my Nolan bug... Does he look sneaky or what?!?

My sweet boys...

Park fun

Nolan had a playdate at the park with some of my friends and their kids. There were 4 of us and 7 of them... and they were all in opposite directions. I'm not sure who was more ready for a nap when we got home, me or the boys. The kids had a blast. I look forward to many more outdoor days since it is staying so warm.

Of course, it was IMPOSSIBLE to get a picture of all the kids together so I had to take ones as I could get them...

My good friend from high school has 2 boys close to Nolan's age. Her oldest is 3 and her youngest is 5 days younger than Nolan. They are such sweet boys. Nolan gets along great with them.

Jenn and her two boys also joined us for the day. Her oldest is 2 1/2 and she has a 1 month old. My nephew and Nolan are as close as brothers. They are so fun to watch. And the only girl in the bunch... My friend from work, Melissa, brought her little girl who is 7 months old. She is so pleasent and smiles all the time. She had a blast... boy is she going to have her pick from all the guys.

Carson had a blast also... he slept the whole time.

Nolan is 23 months old

Well, my little guy is 23 months old. It seems like only yesterday he was turning 1 but we are rounding 2 years old! Here is a pic of my love bug!

Carson's 1st month

I can hardly believe it but Carson is 1 month old. He went for his 1 month visit to the Dr. and got a good report. He is growing fast. He is 10lb 11oz and is 23 in. His weight was 75% and height was 95%. The Dr. said he was an over achiever (in his weight gain)... in other words he is FAT! He is a chunky monkey but I love it. Here are some pics from his 1st month...
