My little school boy...

Just wanted to share Nolan's school pictures. He is in the 2 year old class at preschool. He is continuing to love it and doing so well. He loves his friends and is still labeled as the class clown! I am not sure if this is good or bad but at least he keeps them laughing. His teachers say he is so sweet and they really enjoy him. Here is my Nolan bug and all his friends...

I'm a big boy now...

well almost. This month was hard on poor Nolan. I have noticed that Nolan is developing a huge overbite. I can fit my whole thumb between his upper and lower teeth. So, I decided it was time to take the binky away. We decided to do it cold turkey one weekend. It was awful! I took away his security. He cried for many, many hours 3 nights in a row. Then, on the 4th night, he went to bed and did not even ask for it! YAYYY! This was probably one of the hardest things I have had to do so far as a parent! His sleeping is all off now. It takes him longer to go to sleep and of he wakes up he can't get himself back to sleep as qucikly without it. Just what I needed, more sleep porblems for Nolan.

We also decided to put Nolan in his big boy bed. He was so excited. His transition into the big boy bed was alot easier. He loves his big boy bed and takes everyone to see it when they come to visit.

Now all we have left is potty training... and at the rate we are going he may be 10!!!!

Bowling boys...

We are always looking for fun things to do with the boys and Aunt Jen came up with the idea to go bowling. So off we went. It was good fun! Nolan had a great time. He loves anything that involves balls and throwing. It was a hard concept to grasp at first but they caught right on. Nolan wanted to either throw the ball or kick it! Once he got the hang of it he really enjoyed himself.

It was really cute to watch him. He would waddle down holding this big ball. He would put it on the ground and push it with all his might and the ball would go so slow it took forever to get down to the pins. He would hit a few pins and then jump up and down giving high fives! He thought he did something big! This age is so fun! Everything in their eyes is SUPER!

And here it goes...

I did it!!!

And the winner is... DADDY!

9 months old...

just a little late! My little monkey is already 9 months old. He is grwoing so quick and so big. He weighed in this month at 21 lbs. 14oz. and was 29 1/2 in. He was 75% for weight and 80% for height. He is still way bigger than the average 9 month old. He is a bundle of joy. His personality is starting to shine through. He is very opinionated... he lets you know when he is not happy. But, on the flip side, he is also a snuggle bug, laughs alot, gives kisses, and thrives on our attention.

Carson has 6 teeth. He is crawling everywhere but loves to cruise the furniture the most. He is getting braver and will make frequent direction changes, holds on with one hand, and will let go at times for a few seconds. He is my little monkey... he is already climbing on things. He has climbed a few stairs and climbs furniture. I knew I called him my monkey for a good reason!

He is really loving his big brother. They are so fun to watch. Nolan is still very rough with Carson but Carson is starting to give it right back! Carson is very head strong... if he wants something, he does not back down... even to brother. This makes Nolan furious. He is not use to Carson defending himself. At this rate, there will be many fights in our future. It may not seem like it most days but they really do love one another. They laugh at each other all the time and Nolan gets so excited when Carson wakes up... He says " Good morning Carson, it's me bubby!" They are gonna be big trouble together!

Well, my little monkey is really starting to grow! Before I know it he will be 1! It is so hard to believe how fast this time goes but we are loving every minute of it!

Happy 2009!

Okay so I am almost a month behind but not much has been going on! We laid low this New Year. Life has gotten so busy lately I feel like we are always fighting to keep up so this New Years Eve we kicked back and spent it with the family. I kept my neice and we went to the Pinti house to celebrate. We had a few fireworks for the kids and played a some fun games. I love being with my boys so what better way to ring in the new year! So I took very few pictures this New Years but I did manage to get on of Carson's 1st...

Santa came to town...

Christmas night was a nightmare! It started before we even went to bed. Nolan had a complete meltdown because he did not want Santa to come to his house. He was scared of him! I finally got him calmed down by telling him I was going to go to Santa's house and get his toys. To top it all off, at about 3am Nolan and Mike (at the same time) woke up throwing up. It was awful. Poor guys. This went on into the early morning hours. So needless to say we had to force Nolan to partake in any fun that morning. At about 9am we rolled out of bed and had to remind him that Santa came last night. We took him into the living room and his face was priceless. I am so sad I forgot to video tape it. He just looked around with the funniest face going "OHHHHH!!!!" It was so cute! This was his face when he saw all his toys that Santa left... PRICELESS!
Nolan was so excited at this point so he was able to open a few presents and play with a few but it did not take long for him to find his way back to the couch because he just did not feel well at all...

And off to lay down... So pitiful!

After Nolan laid back down, Carson woke up and opened his presents. Again, he ate most of them but really liked all his new toys...

Daddy got the boys a rocking chair... Carson really enjoys it!

Happy 1st Christmas Carson... you were the best present I could have asked for this year!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I enjoyed every minute of it. Seeing it through the eyes of my boys made it one to remember! Brings back many great memories of my childhood!

Christmas Eve and the boys are getting antsy...

As tradition goes we spend Christmas Eve with the Pinti family. We started out this year at church and then spent the evening at the Pinti house eating good food, opening gifts and having fun. As usual the boys had a blast and it really set the Christmas mood. Poor Carson got the nasty flu bug that had been going around so he slept most of the day... at least he will not remeber he missed out on so much! As tradition stands in the Pinti house the youngest family member opens one present and then we go by age to eventually open all our gifts. The boys tolerated that for a little while but then got antsy about wanting to finish opening their gifts! Nolan really got into opening his presnts this year! I have to say Aunt Jen got the best gift of all... a whole bag of TINKERBELL things. You would have thought he opened a bag of money... lots of money! Nope, just Tinkerbell!

Our only family Christmas picture this year...
The boys opening presents...
Carson... the first of many presents he ate this year...
Daddy and Carson...
Silly boys...

There's always one in the bunch not looking... it was Bryce's turn this time!

When I was growing up, my parents would always let me open one presents before I went to bed. Somehow, they would always trick me into opening my christmas PJ's and it would usually have a book or something also. I decided to carry on this tradtion with my family. So when we got home fom Grandma and papaw's the boys opened their jammy's... (Carson decided to eat it instead.. again!)
Before going to bed I took a shot of the boys in their jammy's. I only took one and this is how it turned out... Nolan was looking for another present!
We have been prepping Nolan for a while that Santa is coming to bring him toys but he has to give him his binky's in exchange. So instead of cookies this year, we left binky's...
And after about 30 minutes of absolute ear screeching screaming, we gave him 1 binky and all the others went to Santa. At least we got rid of most of them. He use to go to bed with about 6 binky's... we will try again soon!!! Maybe we will give them to baby Kenneth when he gets here!

And the parties had begun...

I am playing catch up as usual... We started the Christmas parties at my brother's house for a Hardison family Christmas. It was so much fun. The kids had so much fun playing and they got lots of cool gifts from everyone. It was really hard to take pictures this year. Nolan was so exited about opening his presents he did not want to stop and smile for a single picture and Carson slept right through the whole present opening thing. Oh well... that just means he was having fun. Makes for a good Christmas! Thanks Johnny, Pam and Konner for hosting such a fun party!
