Stupid tonsils...

For about 6 months now Nolan has been having trouble with sleeping, eating and breathing. He has had several sinus infections, strep throats, and ear infections. We had a visit with the ENT and they said the tonsils had to go. They were huge. We tried to prep him for the surgery but to a 2 year old, that was impossible. We took him Tuesday and he did great! Mommy and Dada took it a lot harder than him. He had to stay overnight in the hospital for observation due to his age and the size of the incision he had due to his XL tonsils. He is doing well. Still kind of cranky and says his throat hurts alot but really has bounced back better than I ever thought he would. Well, the next phase of sleep training now begins... wish us luck!

Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. That was very hard on me and Mike. To watch your little ones hurt is a terrible feeling. We could not have done it without all of your help! We are so thankful for great family and friends. You guys are great!

Fun with friends...

Since it has been such nice weather lately we have been taking full advantage. We have had several playdates at the park and have enjoyed every minute of them. I can't wait for summer. Carson is taking several steps at a time now so it should get even more interesting once he is running with the big boys...

What a nightmare...

taking pitures of an almost 1 year old and almost 3 year old was. Carson was awful and Nolan was worst. We managed to walk away with a few good shots of the boys individually and the family however I am not sure when I will ever get a decent shot of the boys together. Dont's laugh but it is what it is and these are my boys...

My other handsome lil' fellow...

I took Nolan to the park last weekend when it was 70* weather outside. I wanted to show him some speacial attention so we had a mommy and Nolan day. Nolan loves to be outside...we had such a good time.

So handsome...

I'm a big boy now...

Carson had his 1st haircut! He was truly growing a mullet and I could not take it anymore. I was really worried about how he would do considering he is always on the move and sits still only to eat however he did terrific! He sat there like a big boy and just stared at himself in the mirror with a big smile. He was so cute...

Swimming lessons...

The boys have been taking swim lessons for a couple weeks now. Nolan loves them however, again, Carson not so much! Nolan is in a class of 5 other children and goes into the pool with 2 instructors. Nolan was a bit weary the first few minutes but then warmed right up and is loving it! Last summer he was my fish! I personally do not think they are challenging him enough. He really needs one-on-one swimming lessons. I think this class is just to get him comfortable with the water and he is way pass that stage! Carson is in a parent-child class. The first week he screamed the entire time so we ended up taking him out of the pool a few minutes before the class was done. The second week he did slightly better but still screamed ALOT! He made it through the entire class but I kinda felt guilty. I am really hoping he will warm up to it and begin to love it just in time for summer.

What a man!!!!

When we wake up in the mornings we are always curious to see where we find Nolan. One morning Mike found him on his floor in his room like this....

WHAT A MAN!!!!!

SNOW DAY!!!!!

Earlier this month we had a snow day in the Carolinas! And I mean real snow... not just a little powder on the grounds. I was a real sport and even took Nolan out to play for a little while (I hate the snow). He had a blast... Carson not so much! Nolan and dada made a snowman and even got to make snow angels. It was so cute to see him playing in the snow. To see him doing these things really makes me remember my childhood and all thind I liked to do too!

My newest Godson...

I have had the honor to be my newest nephew's Godmother. I am very happy Sarah and Jim chose me to play such a special role in baby Kenneth's life. He is such a sweet and handsome little guy. Earlier this month they had him baptized. It was such a nice ceremony with lots of family and friends. Thanks Sarah and Jim for allowing me to be such a special person in baby Kenneth's life!
