Fun in the sun...

I took the boys to the waterpark at Carowinds a few weeks back. We had a great time. Nolan loves it and Carson, well he is still not too sure. Nolan is so independent in the water it kind of makes me scared and Carson will not let me out of his sight. It is such a fun place for the boys to play and it always makes for good naps... which is my favorite part!

Of course I have to have a pic of me and my love bugs...

A racing good time!!!!

Nolan picked a racecar themed birthday party this year. It was a lot of fun to plan and the kids had a great time. We had his party in our backyard and put up a few pools and a slip-n-slide for the kiddos. We had good food, of course cake, and great company. It was a gret time for all!!!!

Time flies when you are having fun!!!

I can not believe that three years ago I gave birth to my 1st miracle. Wow how these three years have flown! These years have truly been the best years of my life. I never knew how much joy a child would add to your life. Nolan has added such a fun element to our family. He is so funny. He is hot-headed yet soft hearted. He is silly, sweet, loving, and gentle yet he is ALL BOY!!! He loves everything a boy would...bugs, dirt, racecars, sports, and he will always giggle about farts... it doesn't get any more boy than that! He is a mommy's boy, daddy's buddy and bubby's best friend. To watch him become a big brother has been amazing. He is so hard on our little Carson but at the end of the day he loves him more than anything in this world! When we say our prayers at night Carson is the first one Nolan prays for! It mealts my heart to watch him become so protective over and truly a best friend to Carson. Three years ago I brought home this little peanut and wow what a blessing he has been! Because of Nolan I appreciate the good times and worry less about the bad times. So, here is to the new stuff! Nolan, you are an amzaing little guy. I am so proud you are my son. Your adventure continues and I am so happy to be along for the ride!!!! Happy 3rd birthday love bug!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Nolan bug!!!!

After we got home from the zoo we grilled out Nolan's favorite... hotdogs! Then we invited a few neighbors over for icecream and cake! We also gave Nolan his birthday present from mommy and daddy... his new bike! If you had seen his old bike you would know why he needed a new one. He wore his training wheels down to shreads. Our neighbors would just laugh when they saw him out riding. We put it in the sunroom and then had him go out there... boy was he surprised! He jumped on it immediately saying, "This is not your bike Carson!" (He shares so well with bubby!) He went out right away to ride it, even in his big boy undies! Wonder what the neighbors think of our house?!?!?
Happy birthday love bug...The cupcakes ended up being face paint!

Nolan and his new bike...

Nolan also has been doing really well using the potty. When we are hanging out at the house he wears his big boy undies. We have had a few accidents but he is doing pretty well! YAYYY for my budget I may finally have only 1 boy in diapers!!!!
Modeling his new undies... Cute little booger!

Is the zoo ready for this crew?!?!?

Since Nolan's birthday fell on a Wednesday and his party was not until Saturday I wanted to do something special the day of his birthday. I gave Nolan a list of things we could do that day and he picked to go to the zoo. So we rounded up the cousins and Abby girl, packed a picnic lunch, and headed off to the Columbia zoo. It was a hot day but was well worth the heat. All the kids had such a fun time. Carson, my little observer, loved it. He pointed and spoke Carson language the whole time! I am so lucky to be able to enjoy these things with the boys. These are the moments that I will cherish! Sorry for the picture overload but you can't choose just one!!!!
