Growing up is hard to do...

for mommy! Today while playing on the floor with Carson, I had him sitting up, with me supporting him, playing with his toys. He seemed so strong that I let go and he stayed... all by himself! I got so excited and then he got so excited and then fell over. I put him back up (of course after I grabbed my camera) and he stayed again, this time for about 1 minute. Looking back, Nolan started sitting up about 1 week into his 5th month! Carson is almost 5 months so I guess I am just in denial that my baby is starting to grow up!!!!

Where does time go???

Just give me a bottle already!

As you may know, we have had problems with Carson and pooping since he was about 1 month old. He NEVER poops! Not to complain about missing out on poopy diapers but the poor baby would go almost 2 weeks without pooping. When I took him for his check-up at 4 months, the Dr. was concerned and said to absolutly not give him cereal yet that it would just complicate things. However, since Carson developed teeth, I quit breastfeeding. Now that he is on formula he poops about 4-5 times a week. YEAH!!!! So off to eating we go!

Since Carson loves to eat and is pretty punctual when it comes to his bottle (never missing one), I thought he would be so excited to try something else edible... WRONG! I'm not sure if he liked it or not... What do you think?!?!?

So we gave up on the eating and gave him a bottle. After he finished his bottle he was in a better mood, had a full belly, and was ready to conquer the eating thing...

Fun times...

The last two days the weather was great so Thursday and Friday we soaked up the sun on the beach. So here comes picture overload of our last days of vacation. We had a blast and can't wait to go back next year!

Because Carson was so cranky and Nolan not a big fan of the beach anyways, it was IMPOSSIBLE to get a good family picture. So, I guess this is how it goes with two kids...

Nolan and Bryce all week were fighting over who I was. Nolan would say "my mommy" and Bryce the funny little guy he is would say " No, she's my family" They were so cute. Any way, a funny story... on the beach, I asked Aunt Sarah to take a family picture. Bryce heard me ask her and jumped right in. When someone told him to get out of the picture, he said, "They are my family!"

The Pinti gang. It was a great vacation and I look foraward to many more. Thanks again Mamaw and Papaw for giving us the opportunity to make so many memories with my little boys!

A night out...

without the boys... Thursday night, Mike's parents took on all 4 boys and let us go out without the children. (Thanks Vince and Chris, we needed it!) We went to dinner at the Rainforest cafe and then walked around Broadway at the beach. We were such party animals and stayed out until the late hour of 10pm. We really are getting old! It was nice to have a quite dinner with just adults (and Dave haha). I even treated myself to a mudslide which was AWESOME!

A surprise visit...

On Thursday while we were at the beach, my mom and dad came down to surprise Nolan. They came for just a few hours but we had a great time. We found a spot on the beach and had a relaxing visit.

Rain, rain go away...

On Wednesday while we were at the beach it rained ALL day long. We stayed indoors most of the day but after naptime had to get out (we were going stir crazy). We went to dinner and then, along with every other person in Myrtle Beach, went to Ripley's Aquarium. It was a good time but it was crowded. We saw lots of fish and Nolan even got to touch a stingray.

Tuesday at the beach we took Nolan to a place called Ride Makerz. It is a really cool place where they make a car (similar to Build-a-Bear). Nolan is really into cars right now so we thought this would be a fun thing for him to do. I think Dada enjoyed it as much as Nolan did. I highly recommend it if you are at the beach.

After Ride Makerz we went to eat lunch at a diner at Broadway. After dinner the boys had to take a break to dance to the music!

On our way to the car we stopped to let the boys take a ride on the train. The perfect ending to a great day. Nolan really had a blast with his one on one time with mommy and dada!

On Monday after dinner we took the boys to ride some rides at the amusement park. Nolan LOVES motorecycles right now and they had a motorcycle ride. He was a bit skeptical at first but ended up loving it!
