Fun, Fun, Fun

Mike was out of town this weekend so me and the boys headed up to my Aunt Susan's house for the day Saturday. We met my family at a park in Salisbury, NC called Dan Nicholson Park. It was so much fun. It is the neatest park I have ever been to. It is kind of like a minature amusement park. The have huge picnic grounds, huge playgrounds for all ages, a train, carousel, petting zoo, wildlife area, aquarium, and a fun water area for the kids. Nolan had a blast and Carson did remarkably well. It was a long day and without a nap, I have to pat Nolan on the back... he was a trooper.

We started at the playground... Nolan enjoyed the slide (over and over and over!)
Nolan and his cousin... She is such a little mother to him. It is really cute to see them play together.

Nolan and the cousins playing house...
After the playground, we had a picnic then headed to the train. Nolan loves trains so he really enjoyed this part of the day! He was a little cautious at first but then enjoyed the ride.
We then went to the zoo part of the park. Nolan loved walking around looking at the animals. They had birds, deer, woodchuck, fox, roosters, ducks, turtles, and bears. Nolan loved the rooster. If you have not heard his rooster sound, it is very funny. Here he was talking with rooster...
We then headed to the water area to cool off. Nolan was so funny. The ground had little holes that would occasionaly shoot water from the ground. Nolan thought if he got really close to the hole and screamed that made the water come out. So my child was the only kid on the ground screaming at the holes. And when the water would come out, he would jump back and crack up laughing. Everyone else was laughing also!

Even Carson had a good time. He was spoiled by everyone there... what else could you ask for?!?

And to end the day, the kids all enjoyed a cold slushie!

Thanks Aunt Susan and Uncle Billy for having us your way. It was a great day!!!!

Fun times...

This week for Nolan's day with mommy, daddy came along with us. Mike has been wanting to see Nolan at carowinds on the rides and at the waterpark so Aunt Sarah had an extra ticket she let Mike use... Thanks Aunt Sarah! We had a great time. We started at the kiddie rides and then made our way to the waterpark. Nolan rode the swings, planes, and helicopters. Him and Mike also rode the "boats" as Nolan calls them... it's a waterslide! I did not get many pics because my batteries died but here are a few of our fun day with Nolan!

Nolan on the planes...
This was Nolan's 1st time on the helicopters. It has a stick you pull back to make the copter rise up but Nolan did not want any part of that!!! He just laid low to the ground.
Mike and Nolan on the boats... Nolan's face is priceless!
Nolan and his dada...
We had a great time. It is so fun to watch everything through the eyes of your child... It makes life so much more fun!

Rolly Poly...

While I have been typing the previous post, Carson has been on the bed beside me. He, for days now, has been trying to roll over. He finally managed to get his weight moving in the right direction and did it!

Gaining momentum... (and a snack on his hand)
On his way over...
I did it!!!!!
Looks like it is outta mommy's bed and into the crib for him....

An end...

to a great weekend. Sunday we woke up and went to church. Since I work on Sunday nights, we usually grab a bite to eat and then head home for a nap. After lunch, we took Nolan to feed the duckies at a local lakeside resturant. He LOVES to do this. The duckies were no where to be found but he enjoyed watching the fish eat the bread. Just a shot of Nolan looking for the duckies...

More family fun...

I have been really into finding cool new things to do as a family that is centered around the boys. Nolan is at such a fun age and I love to see him do new things. Saturday, we went to the pool for a few hours then headed to eat dinner. It was such a pretty night, I thought it would be fun to have an ice cream night. One of the local shopping areas have an outside band, so we headed there to grab ice cream and listen to the band. Him and cousin B had a great time. They played in the fountain, danced, and best of all, ate ice cream!

Me and my guys...

You think he was having fun?!?!? Look at those smiles!!!!

Nolan and Cuz B...
Breaking it down... The boys were so funny. You can't see but they are out in front of lots of people, right in front of the band dancing like that!
Just a cute one of Uncle Dave and Carson...
It was a really fun night.

Happy birthday...

Uncle Poo-Poo head! Jim turned the big 3-0 this weekend. Sarah threw him a terrific surprise 30th party at Fort Mill Tavern. It was a great night filled with food, fun, and friends.
Uncle Poo-poo head (as I have taught Nolan to call Jim)
After cutting the cake, Aunt Sarah offered the kids a candle to lick the icing. Nolan got a little too excited and ate the whole candle! Here is Aunt Sarah retrieving the candle...

The kids playing ring-around-the-rosie. YES, that is Mike and I did say KIDS!

...and we all fall down! (What a good daddy!)
Firday night was just the begining to a terrific weekend! Thanks Aunt Sarah and Uncle Jim for all the fun!

Tummy time...

is the best time!!! Carson LOVES to be on his tummy. This morning when I got home from work, we played on the bed for a while. He is getting so strong and loves to push up. Here are a few shots of my ham!

Coming home to those big eyes makes going to work all worth while!

Future Nolan Ryan?!?!?

Nolan got a t-ball set for his 1st birthday and has been too young to show interest until recently. Since we took him to the Knight's baseball game, he throws things in the air and pretends to hit it and yells "I hit it mommy!" He will also run in a circle like he is running the bases and slide like Homer the mascot did! So tonight we got out his t-ball set and gave him a few backyard lessons. Not to bragg but he did remarkably well. And we are still wondering... lefty or righty???? He is swinging with both!

Getting lessons from daddy...
Getting ready...

Keeping his eye on the ball...(check out that form)

He swings... And it's outta here!!!!!!

Carson says this is NOT a spectator sport... He wants to run with the big boys!

Loving my new toy...

I put together one of Carson's new toys tonight and he LOVES it. It is a stationary bouncy toy. Nolan had one that hung from the doorway but he crashed into the wall every time he tried to bounce. Grandma and papaw Pinti bought this for Carson as a shower gift. It has bright colors and fun lights and noises. It was a hit with sweet cheeks!

The oh so famous...

FROWN! Nolan was great at making a frown about a year ago. If he did not like it or you hurt his feelings... out popped the frown. Here was Nolan's classic frown...

Well, I guess it runs in the family... wonder who hurt his feelings????

Brave souls...

Since my neice is in town from Florida I decided we should get the grandkids photo's taken together. We have never had their pics taken professionally together and thought now was as good a time as any! Keep in mind, there are four kids all 3 years and younger.... not an easy job! All said and done, they did remarkably well. The smiles were owed to Aunt Pam... she should have been hired on the spot! So here they are... the Hardison Crew!

Our lil' princess...
What a handsome lil' guy...And of course my little ham's...
Nolan bug...
Sweet cheeks (he smiles with his tounge)...

We tried to get another pic of the two boys but Nolan was not feeling good and was super clingy to me and Carson was half asleep. So, the photographer suggested I get in on the pic... barely even brushing my hair this morning... her I am!

We braved the heat...

and took off to Carowinds. Me, Jenn, Pam, Kelly and Joanna beat the heat and took the kids to the waterpark. They were all so good and had a great time. They are all at a great age so us moms can sit back (for the most part) and let them run and play. They got along really well... Just a few (well, an overload) of pics of the kids having fun.

Nolan bug...

My adorable nephews K and B....

My neice and cousin... look out boys these girls are going to be heartbreakers!

Nolan and his buddies...

Even little man came out to play...
