"pee pee out!"

Okay, so over the past couple weeks, anytime Nolan gets undressed and has his diaper off he holds his pee-pee and says"pee-pee out". Not knowing if he was embarrased that he was naked or if he really needed to get his "pee-pee out" we stuck him on the potty... and he went!!!!!! We have been telling him that if he goes pee pee in the potty he can get chocolate! So to our surprise, he has gone twice now!!! Wish us luck... we are "training in progress!"

This past weekend we took the boys to the Knights baseball game. The Knights are a AAA baseball team that have a stadium close by. Papaw Pinti gave us tickets to take the boys. Nolan (and us) had a great time. Nolan was so excited to see the game he would not even eat his dinner. After we left the game and the next day he kept saying "hit the balls mommy!" I am so excited for the future with my boys... things like this are so much more fun to watch through thier eyes. Thanks Vince for the good time!

What a concept...

sleep is!!!! Carson decided he would join the rest of us and sleep all night long!!!! YIPPEE!!!! He went from 9pm to 6am without eating and slept the majorty of that time. If you know our luck with sleeping kids then you know this is a huge deal. Wish us luck on the next few nights as we hope for more sleep!

Summertime!!!!

Since I am going back to work on Sunday (YUCK)... I started something I did before maternity leave. Wednesday is Nolan and mommy day. Before Carson, I always spent Wednesday doing something fun with Nolan but I slacked off since the baby arrived. I decided I would start doing it again. Nolan loves the one-on-one time and I love it too! Today I took him to Carowinds. We met Aunt Pam, my nephew and newest cousins Brittany and Taylor... They all had a great time!

Thumbsucker!!!!

Well, as you may know, Nolan still takes a binky at night and fusses for it alot during the day. It drives Mike CRAZY. He always give Nolan a hard time about taking it away and how "yucky" it is. So, Carson has always really been terrible about keeping his binky in and has been sucking his thumb alot lately. I guess he will show his dada... you can't take my thumb away!!!!

Carson was on the bed when Nolan got up from his nap. He ran in to see Carson and got up on the bed to play. I had to get a couple shots of the boys together. Nolan really enjoys watching Carson smile and coo. He gets so excited when Carson makes noises. I tell him he is talking to him and Nolan says "again mommy". They are so cute together and it is only going to get better!

Baptism boy....

We got Carson christened on Sunday. My camera battery died so I do not have pictures of the service but I took a few of him in his outfit at home... I will post the baptism pictures once I recieve them from family.

Nolan and I went to see Aunt Jen and the boys yesterday. Nolan loves his baby cousin but I am not so sure how the baby feels about Nolan. His face says it all.... HELP ME MOM!!!!!!! Check out B in the back trying to save his brother from crazy Nolan!

Carson was wearing one of Nolan's outfits today and I took a few pics to compare how the boys look. I really think they resemble one another but I feel Carson is developing his own little look! What do you think????

Popsicle prince...

Nolan had been cooped up in the house all day Tuesday so I decided after dinner we would put his pool out and have ice cream together. Nolan picked to have a popsicle. He sat in his chair and licked the popsicle down to the stick! It was nice to show some one on one time with Nolan. Somedays it is hard to show him the attenion he needs and deserves. He and I had a blast having mommy time!

This weekend, with temp reaching almost 100* we took the boys to the pool. They had a great time (well Carson slept the majority of it) but Nolan had a blast! Nolan was having so much fun, I was unable to get him to stop to take a picture. Carson, a little easier, stopped to smile for the camera....

What a ham!!!!!

Lately Carson has been starting to make lots of noise. He is starting to coo and thinks it is so funny. Today he was "talking" and after he got a noise out, he would just laugh. It was precious. This is when the fun starts. What a little ham!

Just wanted to share a few pics of the boys. Lately I have been putting Carson on the ground to play with Nolan. Nolan LOVES it! It is so fun to watch him... he talks to Carson, gives him his toys, kisses him... he thinks it is so cool to be the big kid on the block! It is so exciting to see the bond they are developing.

HUGE!!!!

If you know us and our histroy of sleep, you will know this is a huge accomplishment in our household. Carson slept from 10pm to 4am. I have not had more than 4 hours of sleep since he was born (and that is pushing it a little). I hope this is a sign of what is yet to come!

Carson is 2 months old

Carson is 2 months old. I can hardly belive it. The past two months have flown by... My little guy is getting so big. We had his checkup and he is 13lb 7oz and 23 1/2 in. Both are 75%. He is a chunky monkey. He is starting to get his very own personlaity. He is still grumpy sometimes but is starting to smile more and be content for longer... I love it!

Since Nolan's b-day was on a Tuesday, I invited some of the neighborhood kids and Nolan's cousins over to the house to have an ice cream party... WHAT A MESS but the kids were so cute! Do you think he liked it?!?!?

I just wanted to share a few pics of the slip and slide we had at Nolan's party. It was a hit. The kids were not sure how to do it so Mike threw each kid down it on their bellies. They had a blast and the pictures were hilarious....

Happy 2nd birthday Nolan

I can hardly belive it... Nolan is 2! My baby is growing up. We celebrated his 2nd birthday at Grandma and Pawpaw's house with an Elmo pool party. Lots of Nolan's friends and family came to celebrate. It seems just like yesterday I was holding Nolan as a newborn and now he is a little boy. It makes me sad to think he is growing up but we are enjoying every minute of it. He is so much fun and everyday is a new adventure.

I wrote Nolan a letter on his 1st birthday to put in his treasure box to read later in life. I went to read it today and write him one for this year and I had to shed a tear. Here is a line from it that holds so very true...

I look forward with excitement to what the next year has in store. I get excited to know I get to witness you become your own person. I feel so privleged to witness your life! Your adventure is just begining and I am so pleased to be along for the ride!

Happy Anniversary to us!!!!

Mike and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary May 25th. It has been a wonderful 6 years. We have many things to celebrate, including our 2 wonderful boys. Mike is a terrific husband and father. I am so lucky to have him in my life. We celebrated by going whitewater rafting and then to a James Taylor concert. We had a great time. Happy anniversay Mike, I love you!
